Mental Health

Mental health encompasses our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It influences how we think, feel, and act, and plays a key role in how we manage stress, relate to others, and make decisions. Mental health is vital at every stage of life, from childhood. When experiencing mental health problems, a person’s thinking, mood, and behavior may be affected. A decline in mental health can impact daily life, and some individuals may require support to manage everyday activities when their mental health is compromised.

There are several Mental Health Services within the District that provide support for those facing mental health challenges, including the NHS First Response Service, Healthy Minds, My Wellbeing College, and Guide Line, which all assist individuals in crisis. It is crucial that our staff are trained to monitor both physical and mental health, recognizing how a person’s condition and environment may impact their well-being. Referrals for further support will be made, with consent and the individual’s mental capacity to seek help taken into consideration. Sunnah Social Care Ltd offers Outreach Support services for those with mental health needs. Please see our Outreach services for more information.
